Well exposed volcano sedimentary deposits (road cutting) overlain by lava flows formed during Miocene and Pliocene. Other depositional structures that can be seen on this rock include thick sedimentary beds and cross-beds. The road construction exposed the stratigraphic section.
This rock is located at Kapropita (Corporal Peter), an early missionary station and a girls’ school. Kabarnet County Headquarters (also known as Kipsunya) is 5km from Kapropita, the former owing its name to a missionary ‘Barnet’.
