Stakeholders’ Validation Workshop of Baringo Great Rift Valley aspiring Geopark Baseline Survey Report

The workshop was a critical platform to present the findings from the recently undertaken socio-economic baseline survey. The Geopark has a diversity of geo-products and services. The purpose of the workshop was to fill the gaps from the baseline survey and have it formally validated by the stakeholders.

The workshop culminated with the validation of the baseline survey report by stakeholders. During the workshop, KNATCOM called on the County Government and all other key stakeholders to increase investment in geoheritage mapping, product development, value addition including branding of geo-products to increase value and improve the fortunes of local communities. The workshop was officially opened by Dr. Evangeline Njoka, Secretary General/CEO, KNATCOM.
